UL Warns of Nightlights With Counterfeit UL Marks

NORTHBROOK, Ill., - May 10, 2006 - Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is notifying consumers that nightlights shaped as a lighthouse and marked "Sandy Hook" have not been evaluated for safety by UL. These products bear a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States.

Identification: The nightlight is a lighthouse figure with the wording "Sandy Hook" at the base. It has a counterfeit UL holographic label attached near the plug.

What you should do: UL recommends that users stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase.
