Poisonous plants

Kitchens and bathrooms aren't the only places with hidden poisons. The fruits, seeds or roots of many common plants are beautiful but poisonous. Plants to watch out for and their poisonous parts:

  • Azalea (all parts)
  • Daffodil (bulbs)
  • Elephant's ear (all parts)
  • Foxglove (leaves, flowers, seeds)
  • Holly (berries)
  • Iris (roots)
  • Lily of the valley (all parts)
  • May apple (unripe fruit, leaves)
  • Mistletoe (berries)
  • Morning glory (seeds)
  • Peace lily (leaves)
