UL Warns of Potentially Hazardous Decorative Light SculpturesNORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 17, 2004 -- Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is notifying consumers that the outdoor decorative light sculptures manufactured by Heng Tong Arts & Metals Manufacturing do not meet current UL safety requirements. UL warns users to stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase. Name of Product: Seasonal lighting sculptures, consisting of reindeer and other designs. Units: Approximately 43,000 Manufacturer: Heng Tong Arts & Metals Manufacturing Date of Manufacture: January 2004 to September 2004 Hazard: Testing by UL has determined that the cord and plastic lamp holders may pose a risk of fire and electric shock. Identification: The marking tag located near the plug is marked with the manufacturer's name, "Heng Tong Arts & Metals Mfg.," or the UL File Number "E236093" and a date code consisting of four digits representing the month and year of manufacture.
