Thomas M. Moses retires from UL's Board of DirectorsNORTHBROOK, Ill., May 9, 2006 - Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) today announced that Thomas M. Moses has retired from UL's board of trustees. Since joining the board in 1984, Moses has used his broad knowledge, insight and experience in building-safety, model code development and field installation inspection activities to further UL's public safety mission. Among his credits, Moses facilitated the development of several large-scale fire test programs at UL and numerous building, fire and safety document drafts for adoption as national codes or standards. He is also credited for his mentorship and assistance in the planning and installation of UL's "Test the Limits Lab" at the Innoventions exhibit at Epcot® at the Walt Disney World® Resort. "Tom has made an invaluable contribution to the UL board over the last 22 years," said Keith Williams, UL's president and CEO. "He leaves a legacy that will benefit this company and public safety for many years to come." |
