Underwriters Laboratories of Korea is an independent, not-for-profit product safety testing and certification organization since July 1996. The affiliate’s testing laboratory in Yeoeui-do was established thereafter in 1999, allowing UL Korea to offer product safety testing and certification for companies to export products to the United States and other global markets.
UL helps companies meet the challenge of accessing global markets while bringing safer products to consumers.
Scope of services
UL Korea provides safety testing and certification services for a variety of products, including information technology equipment, audio/visual equipment and medical equipment. Also, through global market access services, UL Korea helps customers navigate the complexities of global market compliance beyond the United States and accelerates customers' conformity assessments. UL Korea has consistently achieved high ratings for its technical capabilities to perform a variety of tests for electrical applications.
Via ULK manufacturers have global access to North American, European and Asian markets.
