About us

UL Japan, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UL, provides a wide range off conformity assessment services to assist manufacturers in producing products compliant with applicable safety requirements and in gaining quick access to markets worldwide.

We test and certify AV equipment, IT equipment, industrial control equipment, measuring and laboratory equipment, power supplies for UL Listing Mark, electronics parts, motors, transformers for UL Recognized Component Mark and medical devices for UL Classification Mark, to name a few.

We are able to offer you the surest way to gain acceptance in global markets you need to reach.  Our services include CB testing and certification and multiple certifications such as CCC mark for China, GOST-R mark for Russia,  D mark for Denmark, KC mark for Korea , BSMI mark for Taiwan,  PSE mark for Japan.

We provide total EMC services that benefit customers who need quicker market acceptance.  We have tested a variety of wireless-enabled equipment according to the radio laws in more than sixty countries.

Our state-of-the-art laboratories are accredited or recognized by regulatory agencies and governments throughout the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan.

In 2009, we opened a new EMC laboratory and started to provide safety testing and certifications for lithium battery packs and cells.  Our investment to expand our capabilities continues, as seen in the new PV laboratory that has opened in Ise, Japan in September, 2010.
