UL webinar series discusses smoke alarms and advancements in fire safety

UL offered a bi-weekly webinar series for fire safety professionals across North America to provide valuable information related to fire safety and to give the fire safety community an open forum for questions and discussion.

UL's science of safety webinar series updated firefighters on the recent smoke characterization study, the differences between ionization, photoelectric and dual technologies, current smoke alarm requirements, and potential revisions being discussed to make smoke alarms even more effective considering changes in the modern home environment.
