Heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
Product acceptance
Equipment bearing the UL Mark is more likely to receive immediate acceptance by facilities managers, electrical inspectors, and building code inspectors, reducing the probability of delayed installations due to red-tagged equipment.
Most complete service offering
UL can package electrical safety testing with gas-fired testing, energy efficiency testing and electromagnetic compatibility assessment within one product submittal.
Access to global markets
UL provides the CB-style test report along with the UL Mark for streamlined global access. With a network of knowledge that spans 71 countries, UL can help manufacturers obtain key national marks. UL is a certified body test laboratory (CBTL) approved by the IECEE for several CB scheme product categories including HOUS (household appliances, tested in accordance to IEC 60335).
Flexible testing options
A UL representative can conduct or witness a test at the manufacturer's facility if appropriate test equipment is available. If the manufacturer has a product installed in commercial cooking establishments and does not have a Listing Mark on the appliance, UL can perform a field evaluation at that location within a week of notification and provide a UL field evaluated product Mark.
Access to industry leading expertise
UL is the knowledge leader for the appliances industry with staff members who perform an active role on multiple international standards and technical committees.
