NEW - Hazard-Based Standard (HBS) for Audio/Video, Information & Communication Technology Equipment – UL & IEC 62368-1

The earlier manufacturers become familiar with the new IEC and UL 62368-1 First Editions the better they will be prepared for the Second Edition versions of these standards that will ultimately become effective and replace current standards for IT, CE and Telecom Equipment.  This includes an understanding of Hazard Based Safety Engineering (HBSE) concepts, the new Test Report Form (TRF) for the new standards and more.

UL has been serving on various national committees involved in the development of IEC 62368-1 and is the resource for HBSE knowledge and information on hazard-based standards development.  We have published a number of papers and have been holding training seminars both public and private since before the initial publication of IEC 62368-1 First Edition in January 2010.
