Community involvement
For over 100 years, UL has been fueled by the vitality of the people who work here. In recognition of the contributions our employees make outside the workplace, we are pleased to introduce a new tool to support and encourage volunteerism at UL. We have partnered with another nonprofit organization, VolunteerMatch, to provide employees with an online service featuring a searchable database of more than 36,000 volunteer opportunities at 19,000 nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and unique, private opportunities for UL employees to volunteer as safety ambassadors in their own communities.
Employees can further our public safety mission by becoming safety ambassadors. UL's safety ambassador program provides volunteer opportunities, tools and resources you need to bring important safety messages to the communities where you live and work.
