UL LLC's global Water Systems product certification program uses the following standards:
- NSF 42 - Drinking Water Treatment Units - Aesthetic Effects
- NSF 53 - Drinking Water Treatment Units - Health Effects
- NSF 58 - Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Treatment Systems
- NSF 60 - Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals - Health Effects
- NSF 61 - Drinking Water System Components - Health Effects
- NSF 372 - Drinking Water System Components - Lead Content
- NSF 177 - Shower Filtration Systems - Aesthetic Effects
Certification of products to the above standards is covered by the scope of accreditation of UL LLC as a product certification body by both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
