In just five years, there will be as many as 1 million electric vehicles on the road in the United States alone. That growth means opportunity: new products used in the manufacture of electric vehicles, charging stations in the home and on the road, charging cables and more.
But the growth of electric vehicles also means changes in power usage. One result of this shift: by 2050, electric vehicles could reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by more than 45 metric tons each year.
