2011 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference

Please mark your calendar for the 2011 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference. The 2011 Conference will be held in Madrid, Spain at the Meliá Castilla Hotel and will be co-hosted by INTERPOL, EUROPOL and the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía in partnership with Underwriters Laboratories 20-22 September, 2011.
The theme for this year's conference is "Transforming Regional Success into Global Action" which will build on the success of the past four conferences. The involvement of transnational organized criminals at the center of these activities inevitably means all types of counterfeiting and piracy will continue to evolve in the future. It is imperative we stay ahead of these developments.
The 2010 Conference in Hong Kong was a huge success and attracted 500 delegates from nearly 50 countries. The 2011 conference will build upon the success of the Hong Kong Conference and will offer an updated and enhanced agenda. The Madrid Conference will feature the operational workshops once again but will also include operational round tables.
The purpose of the operational round table is to share findings and review the conclusions of the operational workshops from the previous day. The outcome of each round table will include recommendations about what works on a regional/global scale as well as include a rating in terms of feasibility and priority. This will be reported to all delegates and debated in the round table feedback session at the conclusion of the conference. All delegates will receive a conference report on the outcomes and recommendations that were achieved at the 2011 Madrid Conference.
