- National Resources Canada (NRCan)
- California Energy Commission (CEC)

Benefits
UL is your full service ENERGY STAR® partner. As an EPA recognized Certification Body (CB) and Laboratory we offer global EPA recognized laboratory options for testing and have the ability to test the most comprehensive scope of products.
Our EPA recognized Testing Laboratories around the world can perform qualification and verification testing on 37 ENERGY STAR® product categories and are an EPA recognized Certification Body (CB) for 39 products. This provides businesses with the ability to streamline their energy efficiency certification processes across multiple regulatory requirements.
We meet all your global business needs with certifications for CEC for California, ErP Directive for Europe, CONUEE for Mexico and NRCan for Canada.
Once testing is complete and a product is certified, the information is included in our Database of Validated and Certified Products, an online tool that allows users to search for efficient products by product category, company name or product name. The manufacturer may then use the Energy Efficiency Certification logo on marketing materials, packaging and the product itself.
Opportunities are available to leverage participation in the Energy Efficiency Certification program with our other programs, including Environmental Claims Validation and Sustainable Product Certification.
Consumers can check the UL public website for reliable product specific energy performance data.
Companies can also apply for access to our approved Data Acceptance Program, which provides the flexibility to conduct testing in-house.
