Overview of UL's EMC testing process

Listed below are the typical steps of completing an EMC test program. If you have additional questions, contact our customer service professionals.

Complete equipment under test (EUT) form

Complete this downloadable form to develop an accurate test plan and schedule for your EMC testing. This information is essential to appropriately test your product. Once completed, e-mail your form to our EMC experts.

Accept and return quote

If you have any questions about the quote or process, contact our EMC experts for assistance. If technical assistance is needed, they will get our EMC staff involved.

Complete EMC test program

If you would like to witness testing or need to support your equipment during testing, we can help you make your visit productive. UL provides many conveniences for customers such as customer workstations, high-speed internet access, office support equipment, and close proximity to hotels and restaurants. Select the UL location of your choice for more information.

Schedule test time

Once your quote is returned and all requested information received, we will work with you to schedule a convenient and appropriate test time. Start time and completion dates vary. But since our EMC test facilities can operate 24 hours a day, UL can help you meet your deadline.

Receive test report

Your EMC test report can be sent to you in printed format, electronically via CD, email, or all three.
