Emergency response program

Because of our commitment to public safety, we offer an emergency response team of scientists ready to mobilize 24 hours a day in the event of a real, suspected or threatened incident involving a water supply. Samples are analyzed immediately upon arrival and verbal results may be provided the same day, depending upon the analysis. (Note: same-day results may not be available in all situations. Turnaround times are dependent on the number of samples and specific analyses requested.)

Based on EPA Modules 3 and 4, our emergency response methods were developed to test rapidly for the presence or absence of more than 14 classes of compounds, plus 400 individual potential contaminants.

In the event of an emergency involving your water supply, our emergency response team will provide you with expert analysis quickly and reliably.

For more information on water security, visit the EPA's water security Web site. You can also contact UL to receive a free information sheet on our emergency response program.
