Transition from UL 1414 to UL 60384-14

UL's Standard Transition for UL 60384-14 (transition capacitors)

Currently, there is an industry file review, with an effective date of December 25, 2013, to transition capacitors from UL 1414 to UL 60384-14. Capacitors in compliance with UL 60384-14 will continue to be certified under the category FOWX2.

Additionally, on that same date, December 25, 2013, surge protective devices, such as metal oxide varistors, that were previously evaluated to UL 1414 and covered under category FOWX2, will be evaluated to UL 1449 and covered under category VZCA2.
