The sign component manual is intended to be used by manufacturers covered under UL's Listing and Follow-Up Services for electric signs (UXYT/7) and field-assembled skeletal neon sign and outline lighting systems (UZBL/7) The manual is also used by UL representatives performing Follow-Up Service inspections. The manual is updated at least four times a year with currently recognized sign components and defines the intent and conditions of use for UL recognized components that are primarily found in the sign industry. This document includes neon and LED components and an assortment of other components commonly used in signs.
