UL provides a wide range of terminal attachment testing and certification services. These services are available to assist you in successfully bringing your product to market both domestically and internationally.

United States and Canada

UL is a Telecommunications Certification Body for Scope C under the Federal Communications Commission TCB program. In addition, we are an active member of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR41.9 Subcommittee (Technical Regulatory Considerations), the TR41.9.1 Working Group (Industry Version of Part 68), and a member of the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (jointly sponsored by the TIA and the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions - ATIS)

Europe

UL has been designated as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for radio and telecommunications terminal equipment. As a "Notified Body" under the R&TTE Directive, UL can identify and approve the essential radio test suites applicable to a product (ANNEX III) and review and approve a manufacturer's technical construction file demonstrating compliance with the identified essential requirements (ANNEX IV).

UL is a member and participant in the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Compliance Association (R&TTE CA).
