IPC APEX EXPOTM in Las Vegas from April 12-14, 2011

UL's participation in the IPC APEX EXPOTM 2011 in Las Vegas, USA was successfully concluded.  Thank you for our customers who visited UL's booth (#2415) and/or participated in UL's session or industry meetings.  We are grateful to have them to share their concerns and ideas with our global team about their products, industry hot issues and market trends.

In this roundtable discussion with Carlos Correia and Brian Monks from UL talk all things counterfeiting and UL's role in fighting this crime and the importance of the UL mark as well as the dangers of buying counterfeit products, such as cheaply made power cables that put life at risk. UL work with law enforcement and have had major successes in ceasing counterfeit goods. Educations, enforcement and relationships are the three key pillars in UL's strategy. They also explore sustainability and the importance of attending an event like APEX.

IPC Technical Conference: Counterfeiting

Presenter: Brian Monks, UL Vice President of Anti-Counterfeiting Operations

Brian Monks will be one of the panelists at IPC's technical conference and will present the latest white paper regarding anti-counterfeiting in the industry.  He will share UL's efforts in combating counterfeiting as well as counterfeit protection advice on supply chain management and risk mitigation.

This is the UL established meeting of the official voting body called "Standards Technical Panel (STP)" for four UL Standards: UL 796, UL 746E, UL 746F and UL 796F.  It is designed to provide the STP members with additional information on proposed technical changes to one or more of the four UL Standards that will be presented to the STP for balloting in the near-term future.
