UL encourages manufacturers to involve our Wind testing certification staff as early as the product development stage.
We recommend that manufacturers start with a Certification Gap Analysis to determine the status of compliance to the appropriate system and its components. This approach helps avoid major modifications - such as change in components or design that delay the turbine's installation into the market.
The Certification Gap Analysis provides manufacturers a better idea what is needed to prepare for the formal certification.
