UL's HVAC/R energy efficiency testing facility opened in 2005 outside of Dallas and is dedicated to energy efficiency testing for air-conditioning equipment, heat pumps and refrigeration equipment.
Facility features
The 16,000 square foot facility features state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive capabilities.
- Three psychometric testing chambers
- HVAC capacity to test air-cooled/water-cooled units up to 30 tons
- Equipped to handle international or domestic units that run at 50 or 60 Hz
- Temperature-controlled chambers from 0ºF to 130ºF
- Data collect speeds up to once per second
- Airflow measurements up to 15,000 CFM
- Remote data tracking capability through online connections and in real-time
- Grade-level and dock-height doors for easy loading and unloading of equipment
