China -- CCC Mark

UL's China Market Agency Services can help manufacturers obtain the CCC Mark for household appliances categories in 15 - 20 working days with a CB test report and certificate and other necessary documents. UL's advantage is based on our relationship with and geographic location in relation to the Chinese testing and certification organizations. UL is the only U.S. company who can conduct the initial and follow-up inspections on behalf of CQC for manufacturing locations in the United States.

Gosstandart has an agreement with UL Demko and UL-US to accept safety and EMC testing with no sample required.

Japan -- DENAN PSE Mark

 

UL's DENAN Mark Agency Services has been approved by METI to issue the DENAN PSE Mark. UL is the first and only organization outside of Japan accredited by METI to evaluate the full scope of regulated products (all specified products) for Japan's DENAN PSE Mark. DENAN PSE Mark Facts

  • Two groups of regulated products, specified products (SPs) and non-specified products (NSPs).
  • Specified products obtain specified PSE Mark by accredited certification organization (national treatment).
  • Non-specified products obtain non-specified PSE Mark from the manufacturer.
  • Both SPs and NPs must adhere to electrical safety and EMI requirements that comply with IEC or traditional Japanese technical requirements.

 

Argentina -- UL-AR and S Mark

 

UL de Argentina is recognized by the Argentine government as an official certification body accredited to evaluate the full scope of regulated products under Resolution 92/98.

UL-AR and S Mark Facts

  • Compliance to Resolution 92/98 is mandatory for the regulated electrical and electronic products sold within the national territory including "group II" type appliances such as irons, heaters, tools, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, hair dryers, etc.
  • Pursuant to the Resolution, products must comply with the applicable IEC or IRAM (Instituto Racionalizacion Argentino de Materiales) standards in order to obtain the S Mark.
  • UL Listing reports based on harmonized UL/IEC standards and CB scheme test report/certificate can alleviate the need for in-country safety testing to save time and money.
