UL Environment Acquires GoodGuide

GoodGuide's interactive database technology empowers the marketplace with product knowledge via cutting-edge mobile software and transparency tools

MARIETTA, Ga. / SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - August 2, 2012 - UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), announced today the acquisition of GoodGuide, one of the world's largest sources of information on the health, environmental, and social impacts of consumer products. GoodGuide's innovative data platform, which includes web and mobile interfaces, enables manufacturers and retailers to present their products while meeting growing consumer demand for transparency and more holistic product information.
