UN Global Compact Report
Responsible Sourcing is working with the United Nations Global Compact to reduce human trafficking, increase transparency and advance corporate social responsibility throughout the supply chain.
Responsible Sourcing, a leading global provider of corporate responsibility auditing and ethical sourcing consulting services, has renewed our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact with the release of our 2011 report.
“The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.” (http://www.unglobalcompact.org/AboutTheGC/index.html)

UL is dedicated to helping our clients build secure and socially responsible relationships within their supply chains. As a third-party monitoring firm, we evaluate human rights and labor standards in thousands of workplaces worldwide. This activity helps our customers to reduce the risk that they might be complicit in human rights abuses in their supply chains. In addition, Responsible Sourcing provides guidance, training and raises awareness for our clients and their suppliers on applying human rights and international labor standards in global supply chains.
In 2012, we plan to continually improve our reporting and implement new programs that support our dedication to the UN Global Compacts principles.
