Zhaga Interchangeability Testing
UL is a regular member of the Zhaga consortium and is actively engaged across the work-groups driving standards writing, technical decisions, and testing programs. Additionally, UL has been accepted as a Zhaga Test Center, and is building global capability for this exciting new program in Solid State and LED.
Zhaga is an industry-wide cooperation aimed at the development of standard specifications for the interfaces of LED light engines. Zhaga enables interchangeability between products made by diverse manufacturers. Interchangeability is achieved by defining interfaces for a variety of application-specific light engines (LLE).
Our Principal Engineers are proposing revisions to UL safety standards, to help accelerate the adoption of Zhaga-based products into the marketplace.
