The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals provide pamphlets on various pool and spa topics, including:

  • The Sensible Way to Enjoy Your Inground Swimming Pool: Contains information on general safe use, operation, and maintenance of your pool (not intended to cover all aspects). Refer to specific manufacturer's instructions for more details on installation, use, maintenance, and safety for your product.
  • Layers of Protection To Help Protect Pool, Spa, and Hot Tub Users: Lists a number of options for a layered approach to safety. APSP suggests that all pool, spas, and hot tubs be protected to ensure many years of safe fun for family and friends.
  • Children Aren't Waterproof: Make sure you and your children have a safe and enjoyable experience. This brochure stresses there's no substitute for responsible adult supervision, along with a listing of other safety tips.
  • The Sensible Way to Enjoy Your Spa or Hot Tub: This booklet contains important safety information for operating and maintaining your spa or hot tub. It was prepared under the auspices of the consumer awareness committee of the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals.
