Award Recognizes UL's Use of Information Technology Tools to Drive Radical Progress
In early October, UL was presented with an innovation award for our rapid and creative use of Fusion technology, a state-of-the-art business suite application developed by Oracle®. Fusion will transform how UL's 10,000 employees work around the globe, with the ultimate goal of providing a much-improved customer experience for our 66,000 customers in more than 100 countries. The award demonstrates UL’s commitment to utilizing technology to further our public safety mission and to achieve our objective of creating safer living and working environments for all.
Christian Anschuetz, UL senior vice president and CIO, accepted the award on UL's behalf at Oracle OpenWorld 2012. Anschuetz also shared with OpenWorld attendees how becoming an information-centric company with a diversified service portfolio and an expanded global footprint is driving radical progress at UL to enable customers to get safer and more sustainable products to market.
Oracle OpenWorld is one of the world’s largest information technology conferences, featuring participation by more than 50,000 attendees and more than 1 million online viewers in 123 countries.
