The term "Gas & Oil" equipment encompasses over 150 different types of products intended for the handling and storage of all the above fluids -- and more.

These products include containers, container appurtenances, storage cabinets, piping, fittings, valves, pumps, meters, regulators, dispensers and their associated equipment, hoses, torches, and solvent distillation units.

Such a variety of possible product families can make finding out where your product fits, what specific requirements apply, and how to interpret them a very complicated process. UL, as one of the most recognized and reputable conformity assessment providers in the world, is available to assist you.

UL has a long history of addressing Gas & Oil safety issues. Our first certifications for Gas & Oil equipment date back more than 80 years, with the first UL Gas & Oil equipment safety standard being published in 1922.
