Presentations and MediaEach year, UL staff members deliver numerous presentations on standards development, conformity assessment and technical subjects at educational conferences and other venues. Scientific papers, technical articles and editorial columns are routinely developed by UL staff members and appear in many familiar food safety and related publications. Codes and Standards DevelopmentIn addition to publishing its own food safety standards (UL 2128, Meat & Poultry Plant Equipment, ANSI/UL 2333, Infrared Thermometers), UL staff participate on numerous code and standards development and advisory bodies. These include Council I of the Conference for Food Protection, the Conference's Committees on Facility Plan Review and Accreditation of Certification Organizations, NSF International Joint Committees for Food Equipment and Residential Equipment, AFDO's Meat & Poultry Committee and IAFP's Meat & Poultry Committee. CouncilUL has a distinguished Council of outside Environmental & Public Health professionals who advise UL on matters of conformity assessment and standards development. IndustryUL hosts and/or participates in industry trade shows, conferences, meetings and other forums to exchange information on food safety matters, such as, the Food Safety Summit, the NRA Show, the National Association of Convenience Stores and many others. |
