Terms and conditions

Scope

Valid for all trainings in facilities or offices of UL (as defined below) located in Europe, conducted in the name and Order of UL AG, UL LLC or their subsidiaries and affiliates (all such UL entities collectively referred to as “UL”).

  • Please register online. The invoice will also be your confirmation. As the number of participants is limited, we will confirm participation on a first come, first serve basis. The registered participant is committed to attend the event.
  • The contract between the participant and UL becomes valid upon receipt of the confirmation with the participant.
  • Generally, it is possible to withdraw from participating the event or to name a substitute participant. If a cancellation cannot be avoided, notice of cancellation is required in writing 14 days before the training date. If the cancellation notice reaches UL after this period or in case of a 'no show' the entire fee will have to be paid.

Payment terms

  • The valid registration fees will be published in the current seminar programme or during separate invitations.   • Invoices may be issued by one or more of the entities within the family of UL entities.
  • The invoice amount includes the participation, the refreshments, lunch as well as costs for materials and documentation
  • The fee DOES NOT include hotel accommodation and travel costs. This cost will be carried by the participants.

Implementation

  • The seminar will be conducted in accordance with the published programme. UL reserves the right to modify the schedule, if it does not change the objective of the training.
  • The participant does not have the right to demand a particular speaker or a location. There will be no reimbursement, if the participant misses a training day.
  • UL reserves the right to postpone or cancel a training for reasons out of UL’s control (i.e. in case of illness of the speaker, not enough participants, etc.).  In case of a seminar cancellation, the paid fees will be reimbursed to the registrants.  Further claims on behalf of the participants will not be granted

Materials

Under specific circumstances, although the seminar is held in the local language, UL Knowledge Services materials or hand-outs may be supplied in English.
Training materials and/or extracts cannot be reproduced without the written approval of UL.

Liability

  • UL is not liable for materials/objects provided by participants for the trainings.
  • UL is not liable for any exhibits, especially during transportation to and from the training sight and/or during the set-up and/or during exhibiting.
  • The events are always prepared and implemented with the latest available technology.
  • UL is not liable for any obtained knowledge and advice during a seminar

Data Protection

With your registration you agree that your Data will be stored electronically and utilised for appropriate purposes, (i.e. information updates, UL events, etc.)
