Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

UL helps manufacturers, packagers and distribution centers demonstrate conformance to ISO international standards, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and regional requirements through GMP certification and GMP audit services.

Retail Certification Program — ANAB and ANSI Accredited Scheme 

Certification under this program helps supply chains meet requirements of multiple retailers through a single annual assessment, reducing redundant audit activities and costs. 

National Brand Certification Program — ANAB and ANSI Accredited Scheme

NBCP certification enables national brands to differentiate themselves through independent, third-party certification of their supply chain.

Pharmaceutical and Dietary Supplement Certification Program — ANAB and ANSI Accredited Scheme

UL Registrar LLC offers Good Manufacturing Practices audits for pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. UL uses a risk-based audit tool to certify manufacturers, packagers, warehouses, distribution centers and contract facilities.

UL and Natural Products Association (NPA) Certification Program, and ANAB and ANSI Accredited Program

UL has partnered with The Natural Products Association (NPA), the nation’s largest trade organization representing natural products, to create a Good Manufacturing Practices Certification Program aimed at ensuring the quality and safety of dietary supplements.

 British Retail Consortium Consumer Products Certification Version 4

UL is licensed by The British Retail Consortium (BRC) to conduct third-party management system certification audits to BRC standards to help mitigate supply chain risk, promote product and consumer safety, and help protect brand reputation.

Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification Scheme — ANSI Accredited

UL’s accredited Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification helps the food supply chain to maintain a robust food safety management system and minimize product safety related risks.

The Equitable Food Initiative (EFI) Certification Scheme — ANAB Accredited Scope 

The Equitable Food Initiative is a unique partnership among industry, farmworker and consumer organizations. EFI has collaboratively developed training processes, standards, and a certification program aimed to improve the lives of farmworkers while producing safer, more responsibly grown food.

Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)  

UL Registrar’s FSMA Assessment is designed to assist farms and facilities worldwide to address food safety and compliance with U.S. food regulations to minimize food safety risks. UL Registrar LLC assessments enables organizations to understand and prepare to implement the U.S. food regulations.

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certification — ANAB Accredited Scope 

UL offers third-party HACCP Certification to help prevent product contamination and reduce production risks to a reasonably safe level.

ISO 9001 Combined ISO 13485 — IAS Accredited *pending*

The ISO 9001:2015 Standard places emphasis on customer focus, aligning a Quality Management System with an organization’s strategy, and risk-based thinking. ISO 13485 is an internationally recognized quality standard for the design and manufacture of Medical Devices.

ISO 22000 — IAS Accredited *pending*

ISO 22000 is an international standard which specifies the requirements for a food safety management system. It involves interactive communication, system management, prerequisite programs and HACCP principles.

Public Training Services

UL Registrar LLC is a licensed, approved training center for multiple schemes, standards and industries. Training can be offered publicly or onsite, helping companies and individual employees obtain the necessary knowledge to implement and improve systems, processes, procedures and programs.  Our offerings include:

As an accredited Certification Body, UL Registrar LLC understands the importance of performing its management system certification activities impartially, including established policies and procedures to manage conflict of interest and ensure objectivity in the certification process. UL Registrar LLC does not provide management system consulting.

UL Registrar LLC is financially funded by the fees charged to the facilities for the management system, services and processes for which certification is provided. Fees are charged for the initial certification process and for ongoing surveillance.
