UL Consumer & Retail Services has recently announced the official opening of its regional laboratory in Hong Kong. After a six-month renovation, the laboratory now occupying 45,000 sq. feet, and spread over 3 floors. Serving as the regional hub for Greater Asia Region, the HK laboratory will handle testing, audits, inspections, and verification services for toys, textile and apparel, footwear, hard goods and general merchandise, connecting the world to China and markets in the region and facilitating them to enter global markets with professional support.
Together with our clients and colleagues from different business units, UL CRS’s senior management team including Sajeev Jesudas, Denis Koh, Alvin Fung, Sheila Cheng, Dr. Samuel Wong, and Josh Warren were present during the opening.
Hong Kong laboratory can now accommodate 350 staff and offer — with enhanced infrastructure and improved efficiency — the range of certification services and technical support to our customers and stakeholders. The newly developed Fiber, Feather and Down laboratory provides world-class services to our softlines customers, capabilities include feather and down content analysis, pilling power assessment, turbidity, penetration resistance etc.
