Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has released Food Provision 0710 No. 14 Guidelines for Guaranteeing Safety in Manufacturing Food Equipment and Packaging. 

This guide specifies the positive list system for food utensils and containers. This guide provides the following: 

  1. Managing personnel and facilities 
  2. Design and quality verification of safe products 
  3. Communication of information through the supply chain 
  4. Preparation of countermeasures such as when health damage occurred
