UL 60065 - SEVENTH EDITION(Sub) CLAUSE / ANNEX NUMBER:Clause 4.2.4 c) (Sub) CLAUSE / ANNEX HEADING:Normal Operating Conditions OTHER RELEVANT (Sub) CLAUSES / ANNEXES (as applicable):Clause 4.2.4 a) DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:What is the normal operating condition for an organ or similar keyboard instrument that contains an amplifier and a tone generator? APPLICATION GUIDELINE:After connection of the instrument to its RATED LOAD IMPEDANCE and depressing the 10 manual keys and 2 bass pedals (if used), adjust the output to the point of NON-CLIPPED OUTPUT POWER. Then, reduce output power to 1/8 as described in Clause 4.2.4 a) RATIONALE:IEC 60065 does not make it clear that power is to be reduced to 1/8 of the NON-CLIPPED OUTPUT POWER as is done for audio amplifiers.
