Meet the team

Ken Wilson has been involved in electrical product testing, quality systems development and laboratory management since 1991; and was previously the Managing Director of Wakefield Laboratories Ltd.
Ken has been active in a number of technical and quality system management roles within the product conformity industry including technical standards development and laboratory assessment on behalf of IANZ, NATA and the IECEE CB Scheme.

Ken has overall responsibility for the UL operation in Australia and New Zealand.

Ken is based in UL's Auckland Office.

Paul is responsible for the Certification Program operation and the financial and administration functions of UL International New Zealand Ltd; and was previously Executive Director of Wakefield Laboratories Ltd. He brings a wealth of experience to UL from previous engineering, senior management and executive roles within The Electricity Corporation of NZ, Solid Energy Ltd and Envirowaste Services Ltd.

Angelos D. Spathis - Regional Sales Manager Australasia
Angelos Spathis is a qualified manufacturing engineer and registered Member of Institute of Engineers Australia with twenty years of experience in quality systems development, lead auditing, product development, material testing and senior sales management throughout the Asia Pacific region. Angelos is committed to the highest standard of service delivery and customer satisfaction as would be expected of an organisation such as UL. Drawing on this disciplined background, Angelos constructs a supply, service and support regime in partnership with Customers to meet the diverse compliance requirements of the marketplace.

Pier Aldershof – Principal Consultant Pacific region
Pier takes responsibility for the sales and delivery for UL Transaction Security (formerly known as Collis) for the Pacific region. UL TS acts as an independent, trusted knowledge resource in the mobile, payment, e-ticketing and ID management industries. Before joining UL TS Pier has been involved in the nationwide e-ticketing project for the Netherlands. His earlier work in telecommunications and information technology was done from India and the Netherlands.

Pier is based in UL’s Auckland Office and commutes between Australia and New Zealand in order to provide a close contact to the UL TS customers.
