2008 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference

INTERPOL and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in partnership with Underwriters Laboratories, hosted the 2008 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 24th, 25th and 26th. The event was held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.

The 2008 Halifax Conference was well attended, with over 375 participants representing almost 50 countries. This year's conference focused on copyright and trademark issues of interest and value to law enforcement, including police, customs and prosecutors. The theme was "Working in Partnership Against a Common Threat" and participants had valuable opportunities to interact with intellectual property crime experts from around the world.
