Weifang Zhou
President, UL Ventures

Weifang Zhou is President of the UL Ventures business unit. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the teams delivering UL’s services focused on life and health sciences, supply chain and sustainability, and workplace health and safety services.

Previous to becoming the president of UL Ventures, Zhou was UL’s Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. He was responsible for leading the development of UL’s global industry strategy to drive business growth through new service expansion. He was also responsible for UL’s enterprise strategy, corporate branding and marketing, and led the development of thought leadership initiatives for overall enterprise growth.

Zhou joined UL in September 2009 as Vice President and General Manager of UL Greater China, leading UL’s operation in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. During his term, UL served as a model in developing the local ecosystem and assisting Chinese manufacturers’ growth in both overseas and domestic markets.

Prior to joining UL, Zhou served as President and CEO of GE’s water and process technologies division, and worked in other various GE departments for 10 years.
