Arriving by AirKennedy International Airport, 30 miles southwest of Melville, is served by most major international and domestic airlines. When driving from Kennedy, take the Van Wyck Expressway (Interstate-678) to the Belt Parkway east, which becomes the Southern State Parkway. Continue east to the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (Route 135), Exit 28 North. Take 135 north to the Northern State Parkway east. Take the Northern State Parkway to Exit 40 South-Amityville/Route 110. At the second traffic light, turn right. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Walt Whitman Road. UL is 1/8 mile on the right side. LaGuardia Airport, 30 miles northwest of Melville is served by most major domestic airlines. When driving from LaGuardia, follow signs to the "Eastern Long Island" entrance to the Grand Central Parkway, which becomes the Northern State Parkway. Take the Northern State Parkway to Exit 40 South-Amityville/Route 110. At the second traffic light, turn right. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Walt Whitman Road. UL is 1/8 mile on the right side. Islip-MacArthur Airport, 15 miles east of Melville, is served by some domestic airlines. When driving from Islip, take the Veterans Memorial Highway (454 NW) to the Long Island Expressway (Interstate-495) west. Take the Long Island Expressway west to Exit 49N-Route 110/Huntington. Continue on the service road. At the third traffic light, turn right and proceed 3/4 mile to UL, which is on the left. |
